Please vote to between MAKEDEV & devfs command. Unfortunetlly,FreeBSD removed MAKEDEV command since 5.4
so...
so make an entry for devfs and link to it from makedev and note that it's new and how to use it etc etc i'm running 5.4-RELEASE (and 5.1 on a sparc) and can't really go around testing things that might break filesystems. but if yuo have experience with the 6.0 branch and new stuff in it, go for it.
