For anyone interested Citrix XenServer (including the 'free' four-guest limited release) can be configured to utilise a FreeBSD server running NFS as a shared storage, despite no official documented reference to this being the case on the Citrix website as at time of writing (it appears implied that the 'free' release does not allow NFS usage - I (User:DrModiford) currently have a test lab at the office working from NFS for both guest images and ISO files).
