For example, how do I duplicate the functionality of various IE's plugins (especially java) in Mozilla is still beyond me. And trying to do it securely too...

Current need for help
I have FreeBsd 5.2 (who doesn't like java binaries older BSD were happy with) and linuxbase 7 (which doesn't like java).
I've been trying to install java in any shape or form in any browser, but had no success. It has been 3 weeks now, with no other goals in mind.
