Feel free to do that; I think that's what the instant-workstation port did, but I haven't taken the time to learn how to make ports and probably won't for a while yet.

yeah... instant-workstation does install alot of these. It's certainly not the exact same setup (vnc and openoffice aren't there, for example). I always thought that instant-workstation is the one port I could really understand a configure screen for... and it doesn't have one.
