&lt;div&gt;[[sshd]] is the Secure Shell Daemon, the &amp;quot;server&amp;quot; program that allows [[ssh]] logins to your system. The config file is usually located in /etc/ssh/sshd_config (watch out for those underscores) and it's part of the base system.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In the configuration of sshd, you should restrict it to use only protocol version 2, as there have been insecurities found with sshv1.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also using ssh keys instead of passwords can be an extra level of security.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div&gt;activeX and java are not the same and don't have anything do to with each other. I don't know why you'd even mention it. Installing Java is not impossible, just really hard: see http://www.freebsdwiki.net/index.php/Java. On FreeBSD/SPARC it's not possible (the compile complains about the architecture type not being intel/x86 and fails).&lt;br /&gt;

Should this really be called Errors to Avoid? 'errors' makes me think of actual error messages returned from programs.&lt;br /&gt;
