FreeBSD + Sparc = No GUI. See [http://www.freebsd.org/releases/5.0R/hardware-sparc64.html#AEN273 this link] w/r/t 5.0; later versions of FreeBSD documentation do not mention it at all.&lt;br /&gt;

-- This is no longer true for FreeBSD6? I have used sun keyboards to install FreeBSD6 on my sparc machines.&lt;br /&gt;

All the Java sources and installers etc etc -- they're iX86 only. &lt;br /&gt;
